I spent a memorable Autumn travelling around the Chiantishire countryside searching for additional excellent accommodation.
Chianti continues to entrance me. I never cease to marvel at the rainbow of colours, from the fields of bright scarlet poppies and golden sunflowers to the pastel banks of purple and blue irises.
Nestling between the two cities of Florence and Siena, Chianti is a 60 mile sequence of dramatically defined rolling hills. It is the Tuscany we all dream about: a patchwork of vineyards, woodland and silvery green olive groves. Towering emerald clusters of cypress trees mark heavy stone built hilltop hamlets and long forgotten frescoed chapels.
I hope you treat this website as an invitation to a most beautiful and renowned part of Italy. As always, we choose your accomodation with two consistent prerequisites: high quality and immense character.
Choose a stay at Machiavelli's hunting lodge (Bibbione Castle), or in an 18th century hilltop convent (Il Conventino) both amidst spectacular scenery as are all the barn and farmhouse conversions included in our website.
We welcome you to contact us for more information.
