La Lama

Position: La Lama can be reached along a short unsurfaced road approximately 800 meters from the country lane leading from Castellina to Radda in Chianti (2.5 and 6km respectively) Both towns are historical Chianti towns with a number of excellent restaurants and wine enotecas. Day outings include the historical cities of Florence (38km) and Siena (30km) and Arezzo, which can be reached in less than an hour. Other atmospheric local towns and villages not to be missed include Panzano (8km) and Greve (13km), the capital of Chianti, Tuscany’s most famous wine growing region.

Interior: La Lama retains all its original features including terracotta flooring and oak beams. The accommodation is furnished with antique furniture throughout.

There is a large lounge/dining room with upholstered sofas and satellite television. Patio doors lead out onto the terrace. The kitchen is well equipped with ‘fridge/freezer, dishwasher and an small laundry room including a washing machine. There are 3 double bedrooms, one of which may be converted to a twin on request. All the bedrooms have en-suit bathrooms (two have tubs, one of which is a jacuzzi and the third bathroom has a shower). One of the bedrooms has patio doors which lead out onto the terrace. The accommodation at La Lama offers a further study with a double sofa bed, suitable for 2 extra persons if required.

Exterior: There are spacious grounds surrounding La Lama and a swimming pool (12 by 6 meters) which is occasionally used by the owners but otherwise for private use for guests to the property. The pool area is furnished with sun-loungers and sun umbrellas. There is a panoramic terrace for sole use of the guests where there is a pergola with tables/chairs for eating outside
