The Swallows
The Swallows is perfect for guests seeking luxurious and spacious accommodation with high levels of privacy. The property is exclusively furnished with antique furniture throughout.
Please note that there is no swimming pool at the Swallows. For guests desiring the use of a pool, an open-air pool can be found nearby at Baccaiano, 3 km away.

The enchanting hamlet and castle of Poppiano is just a few minutes drive away. Poppiano has a village shop. Restaurants and further amenities can be found in San Quirico (1.5km). San Casciano (5km), is a large Chianti town with street evening entertainment in the summer, open-air cinema, theatre and a good choice of shops and restaurants. The town of Montespertoli with its picturesque piazza is 10 minutes drive. Florence and Siena are within easy reach being just 20 minutes and 40 minutes drive respectively.
The farmhouse retains some of its original stone tower walls, 1.5 meters in thickness. Interior: Ground floor: large entrance hall, lounge/dining room with open-fire, fully fitted well equipped kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, 'fridge-freezer and dining area. The kitchen leads outside to the breakfast terrace and garden. First floor: large gallery, two double bedrooms (one with wrought-iron bedstead). Lounge with two single convertible sofa beds and colour television. Bathroom with shower. Where there are more than 2 guests staying at The Swallows, an extra bathroom will be made available. Exterior: Private entrance, breakfast terrace and garden for sole use of guests. The lawned garden is equipped with sun loungers and tables/chairs. Small laundry room with washing machine. Private parking inside electronic gates. Further information: All linen provided except large bath towels. Weekly linen change. Electronic garden watering system activates daily at 12 midnight. Breakages deposit: £200 in the form of a Sterling/Travellers/Euro cheque required on arrival. The cheque will be returned provided no damage or breakages have occurred. Arrival time between 4 and 7pm. If this is not possible, please let us know and a different time will be arranged. |
The Swallows is positioned on a quiet country lane in the beautiful Chianti countryside. There are some superb views to be admired from parts of the farmhouse.
The Swallows has been exclusively converted from a partly ruined 11th Century tower into an impeccable semi-detached farmhouse. The restoration work was undertaken by its present owners, who are artists well known in the Chianti area of Tuscany.
